Towing Weight

Thinking of buying a Pontoon Boat

How much weight can I pull with my stock bumper?

I'll be using my B3000 3.0. Yes it's slow.

The towing rating of the vehicle depends on many things. Year, cab style, engine, transmission, final drive ratio (rear differential gearing), etc. This is available in your manual.

The stock bumper I believe is rated at 200 lbs tongue weight, 2000 lbs total. You'd need a receiver hitch for a pontoon boat, I agree.

In my 99 owners manual, it says with the bumper mounted ball, we're limited to 2000 lbs tow weight & 200 lbs tongue weight on the ball.
