Hello to everyone
My name is Duane Gromis. I am not only new to this forum but also new to the diesel world. I drove Fords for may years. I then went through a time of weakness and went with a dodge. I am now back in the saddle again with a 2000 F250 Super Duty with a 7.3 Powerstroke. It feels great to be back Home again. I had a 1976 F150 Camper Special with a 460 Then a 1986 Ford F150 with a 302 and a extended cab next came the lapse and I had a 1997 Dodge 2500 with a 360 and now the 2000 F250 sd. I would like to first Thank everyone in advance for any help you can provide me with and I will try to not be a pest.
Thanks again and I hope to talk with all of you sometime in the near future.

Welcome Duane!
Don't worry about being a pest, you never know if the question you ask is the one that several other people have wondered about. The best thing to do is just jump into the forums and ask any question you might have. The people here are helpful and look forward to assisting others with their trucks. We'll forgive you for testing the waters because it gave you the chance to checkout the competition. Lol Your Super Duty is a popular truck and lot of users have them.
Also checkout your state chapter, they are an active bunch: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum182/

First question how can I tell what gear ratio I have since the tag does not have any number or letters under the axle heading. When I purchased it used they told me it had 3.73 but they did not seem to be 100% sure. I would really like to be sure what it has. I ask Ford for a build sheet but it will take 7 to 10 days for them to mail it to me.
