I bought a 1966 F-100 a few months back and there are some major title problems. While geting them worked out we were unable to find the VIN on thr truck. I breifly scanned the frame a few times and there is nothing on the door or door frame with a VIN on it.
Can anyone give me precise instructions on where the vin should be on the frame? it would be greatly appreciated.
Also if this is a often asked question I apologise for the redundancy. Using the search function I did not find what I was looking for.
It can be anywhere on the right frame rail between the spring and core support. Under the alternator seems to be most common but I've seen it close to both ends of the gap I mentioned. Its there hiding under 40 years of crud.
