Need advise on clutch/393 stroker
Well after 3 years of ground pounding by my two sons and very little by me the clutch has finally gone. Here is what I have:
69 F100 Ranger
393 stroker(351W based)
4 spd toploader
4:57 locker
11" clutch / 10 spline / 1 1/16" shaft
My question is will any Ford clutch based on these sizes work for my application. The clutch that has faded was a Zoom street/strip 3 finger borg & beck style and what I'm currently looking at is a stage 4 kevlar racing clutch (same size) but application is for 99-04 Mustang cobra GT. My old school pro street is manual and with all the new stuff it's hydraulic. My years of working on FORDS tells me it will work but before laying down money to try something you guys of FTE maybe have run into this before - let the topic begin.
