The wiper arms on my 1955 F600 no longer have enough tention to keep them tight to the windshield. Replacements are really expensive, if you can even find them. Does anyone know of something from another model that can be substituted? Thanks
Sorry it took me so long to thank you for your sage advice #dummy! Been a really hectic time what with all the flooding problems lately. I guess if I can get to the local NAPA store they can tell me if they have them in stock or can order. Thanks again.

Being the cheapskate that I am, years ago I used to change the springs in wiper arms to improve tension when they got tired. The tension springs on some wiper arms can be removed and replaced and some can't. I don't know if yours are replaceable or not but if so, you might be able to find a replacement spring at a hardware store or possibly from another used arm from a swap meet...just a thought.
