so i just found out both my hubs have taken a crap at only 54,000 so i am think of switching to pure manual hubs insted of paying a crap ton for the auto locking hubs that dont work half the time (more like all the time) let me know what you guys think thanks alot

I have the ESOF with the auto locking hubs and have yet to have any problem with them engaging or dis engaging properly. Any unusual operating conditions? I do use 4X4 at least once a month though. Exercising them may be the key to keeping them working. I know alot of people here hate the ESOF/Auto hubs. I was very leary about them after reading all the negatives about them here, and quite frankley was thinking I was going to have a bunch of problems with them. 58,000 miles and not one single issue.

dayooper,

Very common switch for the ESOF guys to upgrade to manual hubs. Warn or Mile Marker, choose the ones you like and go for it.

I think the only thing that would be "unusual" is the fact that in the winter MDOT dumps more salt on the roads than is in the dead sea. I havn't changed a set of hubs yet how hard are they any pointers i think the warn premiums is what i will go with

PM me with your email address an i will send you a PDF file with pictures showing the swap. It uses MM hubs but the Warn hubs will be similar.
