Check and see if you have spark when cranking. If not, check your fuses and ign. switch. R/lg wire at coils should have voltage at all times cranking and in run position.

Unhook the battery for 20 min and then rehook it up... i had some hard starting issue when i changed my fuel brand and octane once... computer needs to reteach itself what fuel u are useing... worth a shot...
Mine had a dirty ground from the tranny bellhousing to the frame rail. The negative wire from the battery heads down by the starter to the frame rail and then branches off to the bell-housing. This was all rusted and not making connection.
Sure helped my non-starting issues! I haven't had a cranking/non-start issue since.
I forgot to mention that if I cycle the ign. switch 2 or 3 times it takes off right away. Thats why I thought it could be a bad ground and not sending the right signal to the fuel pump.
Sounds like the fuel pump is bleeding back. Hook up a fuel pressure gauge and pressurize the fuel system, shut the key off and watch the gauge. If it drops more than 5psi in 1 min. the fuel pump is suspect.
