Swapping manual tranny for C-6
My NP435 manual is about wore out. No power, no get up and go and it makes the Bronco sound like a freight train over 50 miles an hour. I don't want to have it rebuilt. I ran across a rebuilt C-6 for a good price. How hard is it to be make this conversion? If it's too much trouble I aint gonna mess with it, but I have wanted to have an automatic for a long time. The C-6 came out of a big block and the motor in my 1978 Bronco is a 351M. I've got the same tranny in a 76 Ford truck and it runs fine and has plenty of power. That's why I think the tranny in the Bronco is about gone. Motor runs fine, was recently tuned up and the timing adjusted.
