dual tank question

94 F150 Dual tanks both rusted out. Just putting on a wooden deck as truck is just for around home and installing new front tank only. Took rear tank out, unhooked sending unit and cut off the 2 in and out steel tubes above the tank. Hooked those tubes back onto fuel lines and put rubber fuel lines on the ends of those with a bolt to plug the rubber lines and put on 4 really good clamps. Will this be ok? I haven't finished putting the new front tank on so can't try yet. Will the rubber, bolts, and clamp hold the pressure? I was told this will work but want more opinions.

Make sure you have a flare on both ends, as pressure will blow them of eventually. Assuming you used the right hose and the clamps are true it should be fine. Just make sure to watch it for a couple of days and verify there are no leaks.
