ABS problem with no code
My 96 Bronco has a strange ABS problem, there's no code and no ABS light, but when coming to a stop the ABS activates. It only seems to activate between 10mph and almost zero. Above 10 is fine. When I get down to 10 I can feel (and hear) the pump pushing on the brake peddle. It also pulls to the left when this happens.

Yep, heard of this one before. It's usually the Hydraulic unit, which are very expensive. It could be a front wheel speed sensor, but you would have to perform some checks to determine which is at fault. You can pull the fuse for the abs and your left-pulling problem should go away. I cannot remember which fuse it is though. If you do a search, there is a very detailed thread on a similar problem, but with a light.

Great. This all started after having one of the chain stores replace the ball joints. No flames please, I just didn't have the time to do it myself this time. Anyway, they knew something was wrong, but still tried to send me home with it that way. Guess I'll have Ford check it out then see if I can get the first place to pay for it.

If this happened after changing the ball joints, then the it's most likely the sensor. When changing the ball joints, the sensor sits right next to the hub carrier. If they weren't careful when removing this or if they removed the sensor, they could have damaged it. I would start with that.
