Ford uses RF for thier keys, I don't think it will be a good idea to keep the transmiter in a magnetic hide a key. However, you can get a blank (non-transmitter) cut to keep in the hide a key (so you can open the door), and then another key with the transmitter somewhere in the vehicle. Places that come to mind, under the door sill, in the ash tray, or taped under a seat.
