I ordered the muffler back exhaust for 82-04 rangers from the Jegs catalog. Part number 555-30482. It is on page 226 in the current Jegs high performance catalog.
The catalog advertises that it is a split dual system. Unfortunatly, after my parts arrived I discovered it is in fact a single 3 inch system.
I called the company and complained. They infomend me they would correct the problem before the next catalog.
I just wanted to let everyone know in case they were thinking of ordering this item.
Thanks for the heads up all though I mostly order from summit, but it's good to know. What brand catback was it, flowmaster, gibson, or was it thier own brand?
It was their own brand. I've heard it is the same stuff dynomax sells, but I am not sure of that. I knew it wouldn't be the best for performance. but I was wanting dual exhaust because I like the way it looks.
Sorry to here about the mix-up.
I order from Jegs all the time. They have good customer service and will hook you up with the right part.
Poop happens some times,,lol.
Yeah, summit and jegs are both really good, I use summit and my son orders from jegs. They both have great customer service, they'll get you straightened out.
They were very co-operative when I called, and admitted it was their mistake. The person I spoke with was more than willing to let me return the part, and insisted that the listing would be corrected before the next catalog was printed.
I just wanted to let everyone know in case they saw that same listing and were thinking of ordering the parts.
try summit i looked and looked for a dual outlet system for my "other" branded truck. you can go to a muffler shop too. the chevys system cost me just over 300 and was cat back minus the center pipe. my beloved ranger cost me about 50 more and is front to back true dual exhaust with a crossover pipe and looks great.
