I will put putting one in my F6. I like them to listen to while traveling. You never know what you will hear on one.

I remember and used them in the 70's - but then the channels were taken over by a rougher element - last time I had one on it seemed to be a bunch of *****s advertising their trade, I seemed to hear them for 100 miles as I drove through Seattle. They are also used a lot by Gay Guys looking for a date.

I wouldn't turn one on near any big city with my family in the cab with me.

No CB in the effie, but my semi has a Cobra 29 LTD with a 500 watt Texas Mustang heater. The Cobra has a nice array of features for the $$. I have a single Wilson 5000 antenna. A sweet talking rig. Be sure any and all componenets you mount are WELL grounded.

I don't have one on my 52 (may put one in eventually), however I do run a cobra unit in my daily driven bronco, use it quite often when I'm out on 4x4 trail rides

You really missed out on the height of CB mania. Riding along in the old man's semi was a special treat back then. I have one for my old Scout after I get it road worthy again.

I used to run one in every vehicle I had. I even remember our FCC license number. KAHW-9762 They had to be licensed way back then. Yes...I was a kid in the 70's and talked to my friends all the time in one of mom or dads vehicles.

I still have a book of the rules and laws on a shelf at the house. Anyone remember the "10" code? I hate to admit it, but I remember a lot of them.

i use them all the time... but a little warning for everyone...
Now a days " Good Buddy " is fighting words... pretty much calling someone gay..
other then that its good to know where all the bears (cops) are and if there is any accidents or anything else going on that might be useful

I have one in my Mack toterhome, but the only time it's turned on is to find out about traffic in a city. Too much trash talk on them now.
Brian, I too was a kid of the 70's and spent a lot of time on the CB. We lived out in the country and there wasn't any other way to keep in touch with my friends. Still have my base station on the closet shelf. My liscence # was KATX-6490. Funny how I can remember that and can't remember a phone # someone just gave me.
