I dropped a injector while removing the fuel rail, and the vapor cap broke off. The injector is part number FOTE-C3A for the 5.0L. My local junkyard only had injectors for the 5.8L part number F2TE-A3A.
I was able to cut the O-ring on a 5.8 injector and and with a small homemade pickle fork press off the vapor cap. The vapor cap snapped back into place on the 5.0L injector.
I am 99% sure this is ok, just looking for that little re-assurance. What do you guys think?
