Just curious...

I have been pondering the ideal of replacing my stock lower and upper intake manifolds with something that flows a little bit better. What all is required for me to run a GT40 intake setup besides using both the lower and upper manifolds together? I know I will probably need another throttle cable, possibly a bracket, and a single bore throttle body. What is the best thing I could do as far as intakes goes on my truck. I figured since I am going to be installing some GT40 iron heads that came off of a 93 Cobra and a 302HO camshaft in my F-150 that upgrading the intakes would be beneficial? I have also seen that Edelbrock makes a nice upper and lower intake manifolds for our 92-96 F-150's? This is all going on a 302EFI motor. Will the upper GT40 intake manifold have enough vacuum connections also?

The 93-95 lightning trucks used a GT-40 style intake manifold, so many (if not all) of the parts you need can be sourced from one of those. They should have all the necessary vacuum connections.

Those GT40 Manifolds from a lightning will fit a 92 F-150 302 engine? Would this be a worthy upgrade for the money?

No, the manifold itself from the lightning will not fit a 302 (the upper will mate to a GT40 lower, though). The point I'm trying to make is that since it used the same or at least similar throttle body setup, the throttle linkage and brackets from a lightning should allow you to attach to the throttle of most any GT40 intake manifold that you put on your truck.
