Bought a 7 ft mower today.

I got an new old stock Farm King finish mower from Flamans today, the last one from 2006 at 10% off.
Just hope my Ford 800 can handle good enough, if it does it will be treat to cut all the grass around here.
There must be 5-8 acres to cut and I`ve been doing it with a JD 755 with a 5 ft mower.

We have a *****hut 30 with a farmer (my dad) made 3pt. that does our cutting.

I'm not sure on size but it covers the rear tire spread then half a foot on either side. I'm guesstimating the tractor width at 5 feet thus a 6ft. is wat I think we got.

The *****hutts only a 28hp. tractor so I'm sure you got no problem, but I'm amazed at how wow that dang tractor pulls. We dragged a grainbin with it, it didn't quite get the job done but the front wheels were off the ground for some of the pull. LOL

Thats the biggest "tractor" i ever had in my life...cut my 1/4 acre in 5 minutes...had a 5 foot sickle bar mower and 3 foot cutting deck and a grass trailer on the back...it was 16HP I beleive and it was easy to lift the front tires off the ground in it HAHAHA...

compared to what most people had in the neighborhood that thing was overkill huge... I traded 5 mud tires i had lying around for it...i had dreams of entering the mower races but sold it and moved before I got the chance

Ya bein a farm kid usually provides a guy with entertainment. Espically with a (We can do it father) why we didn't hire a semi to move a frain bin. I don't know. But we had a 20ft. gooseneck and a hand powered winch. That was a fun day. espically the drive home playin power line roulette. A bin standing on a goseneck isn't that short!!!

At one point in time, we had 3 lawn tractors at the farm. We had an old JD 212, a Murray, and a Greenbrier. I'm not sure of the acerage of the yard, but to do it took about 3-4 hours with one tractor goin.

Now, we've got 2 identical Whites, both 16hp with 48" cut I think. One was dad's, and the other was grandpa's until he passed. That was overkill. Grandpa & grandma's yard would take me about 25 mins to do with their old craftsman push mower. To my knowledge, that's the only small engine I've ever seen with a clockwise pull start. But back to the Whites. Both are at the farm now, but only grandpa's is runnin right now, dad window blocked ours a couple years ago.

To do the ballfield at Dand, dad built quite the contraption. He took 2 cuttin decks off old lawn tractors, made a frame for them, ran them off their own engine, and pulled them behind the old JD. In total he likely had well over 90" of cutting width, but the agility of a drunken rhinocerous.

yeah I got it from a guy who's granny passed away and they were selling her house so they wanted to get everything out of the yard to clean it up...she had put a new seat on it and a new gas tank...the starter was stuck closed, so i had to take it off and do a WD40 rebuild and it worked good after that

My yard takes about 2 hours, the two rental houses I have take another 3/4 hours so I hope to cut down on that.
In the summer I`m usually too busy to spend any more time than I have to even though I enjoy cutting grass.
