I need a 1940 hood

Does anyone know where I can find a hood for 1940 ford truck standard grill. Fiberglass is ok,Wescott sells hoods & wants $900.00 for them. Thanks

f100drivr, casey told me his father has one he is A1fendermender I was looking for one to replace the hood on my truck because they cut a hole in it for the supercharger but I talked to the guy I bought it from and he said he can get me another hood. so if you can catch up with casey he can probably help you.

Hi, go to the autobody section of the forum and look for casey A1FENDERMENDER it might take awhile for a response as he just bought a house and is setting up a shop. Just hang in there and he will get back to you. John

Are you still looking for a Hood?

I was looking for something in the Hemmings.com site and saw the following add (posted 3/2/01):

"1940 Ford Pickup, no grille, no floor in box, no rust, very good hood, doors, cab, glass, has 39 wheels, comes 49 flathead not running $800 obo may trade Contact: Box 735 Britton S.D.
605-448-2937-SD"

Just thought you might be able to use this info. The guy may still have it since it's such a new ad.
