chassis/model year ID needed for Ford/Marmon-Herrington LD-6

The truck shown below is a Ford/Marmon-Herrington LD-6. It was ordered by the Royal Netherlands East-Indies Army somewhere in the 1939-1941 timeframe. When the Netherlands East-Indies surrendered to the Japanese Army, shipments of vehicles were diverted to Australia. This truck is the only known survivor of this batch of Ford/M-H trucks built for the NEI Army. It's owner lives in Australia.

I am looking into the possibilities of reconstructing such a truck from parts. So I need to indentify the type of Ford cowl/chassis. Is it a 1 ton or 1.5 ton? Which model year?
