Post 46 gas line support

I am running a new gas line on my '46 1/2 ton and want to know if there are any supports/brackets between the fuel tank shutoff and the fuel pump. The one I'm replacing was unsupported and that doesn't seem right. I know there is a part 18-9296 which is a fuel/air line clip on firewall which according to Mac's is for 32-48 passenger cars and 32-47 pickups. Mine doesn't have one and I don't see where I would mount one. Are there any frame clips?

There are a couple of clamps along the frame. I'd have to take a look and see where they are. By the way, is your truck a 6 or 8 cylinder, I believe the fuel lines are routed slightly differently for each engine. I'll look and see if I can give you and idea of where they are.

I have an 8. When I got it the fuel line was in 3 segments, one of which was sheathed in some kind of rubber tubing and was laying on the frame close to the steering column. Kind of snaked through an opening there. I guess whoever did it put the sheathing on to keep the line from rattling and wearing a hole.
