I have what was called 36 ford pick up tranny and rear end when it was given to me. Is there a difference between them and the car rear end and tranny.
They look the same, as I own a car, and I'm interested in selling the pick up ones. I have way to many parts now.
Is there a difference.
Thanx, Wytfut

Most of the guys off the old classicar flathead forum ended up here and the wealth of knowledge is amazing. You have to register with MSN which is a pain, but is worth it. If you have any trouble getting in let me know. Click on 'new discussion' and it should take you through the sign up session. - tim
Tranny and rear end are the same for pickup and passenger. Only possible difference is the rear axle gear ratio, which tended of course to be lower in pickups, usually 4:11.
