I live in Western North Carolina and am in the market for an old truck to use in parades and at the old country store and grist mill I am building. I am looking for a truck that is usable without alot of restoration work and am not interested in a "project" truck. An older restoration or original vehicle in good shape would be fine. Doesn't have to be anything perfect. I am looking for somthing in a $5000 to $7000 price range if such a truck exists.
My first preference would be a 1925 or 1926 Ford TT or pickup. Next choice would be a Model A pickup or larger truck (up to 1 ton) made in the early 1930's. I have found several trucks on the internet but most are located so far away that it would be difficult for me to go look at them or to have them shipped. If you have or know of anyone that has something in North Carolina , East Tennessee, or Southwest Virginia that might meet my needs, please email me directly at taxback@hci.net
I truly appreciate any help any of you can give. Thank you.
You may want to check the classifieds on this site. There's a '32 listed (don't know if the guy still has it or not). It's a bit more than you're wanting to spend, but it's priced about average for the shape it sounds like it's in.
Only other suggestion I could make is to watch for the rod and classic shows in your area and search through the car coral (vehicles for sale areas).
Good luck on your search and let us know what you find.
