hi all here s a currl one 4 you guy s to think about
i crack one head on my 292 (CITE) i replace the heads with two 2 hand heads whick i just got total rebuild to (CITE) repleace them on the truck
she run good in the shop i did a test drive it was ok i went home to load the exacavtor on the truck went back down town to fill up with fuel on the way home left bank was blowwing smoke out bad they put in two new knock in guides + two k/line s to guides, pressure tested heads go it didn,t blow smoke b4 the new heads i have lift the rock gear up to test if i had a loose valves get to dark now ill look a in the morning ?????

 

i would look at plugs sounds like head gasket.

 

hi plugs are clean i think it has a crack in the oil track in the head but they did still recondish and charged me i have taking the head off will take it back to them and see what they say thank 4 your reply

 

HI guss it was the guys that rebuild the heads , 2nd time round it looks like they fixs it , i only had time to drive it for a short test run about a hour , so far so good it sound ok , glad i can drive it again it a very tuff old motor and in very good nick , just like the truck no rust i have miss my old y block bye for now guss thank you for your help

 

hi guss its still going good 1st time i put water in just to day but its very hot like about 4lites
