Been gone for over a year. Old computer crashed, then fixed, then discarded, and finally replaced. Finally got hooked up to sasktel high speed wireless out here on the farm. almost forgot how to post!
Welcome back, you have alot of catching up to do.....you are down to 0.23 posts per day and alot of new members to meet! Please check out my gallery, I have a loaded 2005 Lariat crew 4X4 6.0 now, not just the 67 Mustang.
Congrats on the Sasktel High Speed wireless.
How do you like it (besides alot), what`s the monthly cost, the instal/equip cost?
I`m still on dial up, I`m not a rich farmer.
Just finally got it all set up today. Went with a laptop communicating with internet through a wireless router and a wireless printer connection. I have no wires to my computer at all (except the power cord if I am charging the battery). The only wire to the printer is the phone line for the fax function. Hardware cost was $250 plus install fee. Cost is $60 per month but they bundle house and cell leaving a net cost of $45. My brother (a mile away) went with a private high speed wireless provider. They also just activated so we will compare as we go. He has a much cleaner and simpler amount of wires to make it all work.
Just reading through some posts - way more people on here as well as some topics ranging from farming to sledding to relocating. Things are looking good on here.
AMazing what's happened on here in the last year or so. Welcome back there bud! There's probably a LOT of new names to get used to now that you're back.
Lots more new names and with that comes a deeper bank of knowledge and experience to share with others - way more topics going = more interesting! I see Morris is still driving the bus (awesome). Is it 'Morris' or 'Morri$'?
We are adding more cows now that the prices are softer. Grain growing still in the toilet, even with a bit of a price spike. Fertilizer prices have really climbed already as everyone 'needs' to absorb any extra $$ that might come in.
