66 f100 VIN code

hello everyone, another newby here. I just picked up a 66 f100 shortbed 6cyl 3spd & want to decode the vin/data plate. Anyone have a good link? thanks. I think this will be an upgrade project since its really straight and this site seems to have the most followers with good info.

just wanting to find out what this truck had from the factory. The previous owner put about $7,000 into it (with receipts). Im thinking about a disc brake upgrade and a paint job. The body is straight & it has the original CA plates. This thing drives down the road better than my $28,000 SUV!

Its a 300. Probably put on a vac. boost/m.c. and have power drums for a while.
