53 rear bumper and cab corners
I have a few engine parts sanded and ready for primer. The engine doesn't seem to be in as good a shape as I had hoped. The pistons and/or lifters are frozen. I knew the front fenders were shot. The rear fenders should be salvageable as well as the running boards. The bed looks pretty good, too. I thought the rear bumper was an aftermarket part but I've seen pictures of three or four other '53 trucks with an identical bumper. Was my bumper a factory option? The cab corners need replacing as well as the lower hinge pockets. What is the best approach to this? I know I need to brace the door opening once the doors are removed to preserve the spacing. The floor around the mounts is rusted through, though. How would I go about deciding where the level of the floor should be in relation to the mounts? Should I go by the floor pan which is in decent shape?
The driver door got tweaked in a little mishap. It doesn't latch when closed. The passenger door is good so I could probably use that as a reference. Obviously, it's pretty important to get the corners and hinge pockets in the right place.
Are there reference materials out there with this kind of information? Any tips or tricks you folks can pass on would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I don't think you will find a reference with all those dimensions. If not, post some of your measurements here and some of us will compare them to our trucks.
