460 In My 56 F100
I'm notorius for 460s over a MII front end.... but looking at my pics I don't see a single shot of motor mounts...
I'm using Sandersons who were very helpful to me when I was trying to get the 460 to work with a volare front end... I'm using a hybrid (one header each from two different sets) and they work fine...so far...
We fabbed motor mounts from 1" or 1-1/4" sched 80 pipe and some 3/16 plate for gussets... with 5/8 tube (I think) for the motor mount bolts to slide thru...
I'm out of town for the next 4 days but when I get back I can snap some pics..

I used one of those crossmember motor mounts from one of the local vendors. I would not do it that way again as it clutters up the engine bay tto much and limits where you can place the motor. next time i would just fab up some motor mounts that weld to the crossmember and frame to triangulate the mounts.
I used headers from Headman meant for a mid 70's 4x4 with 460. on the drivers side i had to heat up the header and bend it away from the engine to clear the steering shaft. also had to make a 3 piece steering shaft to snake around the headers as the collector was directly in the way of a straight shot from steering column to rack. next time i would definetly look at block hugger headers. I think Mac Headers also makes them besides Sanderson, but not 100% sure.
460 equipped trucks from 80 up used a rear sump oil pan also along with the 4 x 4 trucks from the 70's up. Also the vans equipped with 460's used a mid sump pan that might work depending on how far back you mount the engine in the frame. i made my own pan, but i would next time spend the money on a Canton rear sump oil pan to save some time and aggrevation. they are not that badly priced and are pretty nicely made with baflles and everything.
that's how i did it and things i would do dofferent next time.
