Well, I've been working on my 300 I-6 for my 66 for awhile now. Having a 2 year old didn't leave me much time for working on it. Then the wife saw this while walking to lunch the other day. It was driving down the road and was just able to see that it had a for sale sign in the back. When she got home she spent a few hours tracking it down and found it on Craigs List. She called and told the guy we wanted to see it. I got to drive it home on Monday. Man I'm Lucky!!
Yeah you are lucky, and you got a good a cool wife too.
Your 100% right on both
The truck was listed as being garaged all it's life. The is paint original as well. It had been modified some what for the camper that he use to carry but other than that it's all stock. It only has 63,000 miles on it and came with the owners manual. I still look at it and feel like it came out of a time machine.

Reason: poor typing
Does the transmission selector have a green dot on it ? - assuming that part is original. If so, the transmission is a Cruise-O-Matic, or COM.
If I were a betting man, that's what I will say is in it.
Very nice find, too.

Yep, it's got the green dot. I thought the pan looked square like the C4 but it has a bunch of things on the right side of it. And I don't think the C4 came in till later years.
The "C" means the 1960s, and the 4 is the design year.
The C-6 is the same, designed in '66. Neither the C-4 nor the C-6 made it into our Slicks though, at least not until '67.
