I just got back from a GREAT week on the beach down in Panama City, FL. If you want to see pics of a slick BURIED in the sand, I just added an album to my gallery. I think I'll sell it AS IS, WHERE IS. It doesn't run, there's no paint, and the interior is full of sand. The good news it that there is no rust on it what-so-ever! I don't think it's coming out of that beach in one piece!
Any takers?
Thanks for the pos feedback! I just start pilling up the sand (the wetter the better) and carve it out. I used to use spray cans but the beach patrol won't let me anymore. (I have done cars fully painted... even chrome painted wheels). Now, when I paint one, I use special sand paint. It's a powder that you mix w/ water in a spray bottle. (It's hard be accurate with a misty spray bottle.) I think the powder is Kool-aid but i can't prove it.
Anyway, I was going to paint the truck the next day but we had a little storm overnight that took the lower half out. Then, what was left was taken out by a little brat and his plastic shovel the next morning. They just don't make sand ford's like they used to!
I thought you guys might like to see my shrine to my truck. I was trying to remember the body lines but it tough without a picture... and the sand doesn't cooperate for the details! It's not all straight but there ain't NO BONDO or RUST in this baby!!!
