98-F150 Rust at 3rd door need fixed HELP
I have a 1998 F-150 with the 3rd door, it is rusting at the bottom. I also have a rip in the sheet metal, above the door handle, about 2 inches above from where the glass comes out of the door, the pass. side door.

Those are standard options on our model year.Remove the rust and put POR15 and paint(all doors will do it as well).Don't even bother with the sheet metal tear by the window.Should not get bigger than 1/4" and no hope in a lasting repair.Has the gutters on you roof started to peel yet.If not wait it will.Aso not a big deal it only peels to the edge of the gutter and wont take all the clear coat off the truck.

Oh how sweet any more problems i need to know about, Thanks for the reply matt_97xl. and the POR15. The thing as i call it. has a gas tank strap, exaust bolts, exaust clamps, manafold holes, rust starting on cab behind drivers door at the bottom. All of this is rusted or rusted into THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP. Dave

All and all on 7yr old truck when compared a to dodge or gm thats so not bad.I would still take the ford.I'm not brand loyal among the big three yet usually end up with a ford as the "good"vehicle.The only import car i ever owned was a honda and never will again.It was the biggest money pit I've seen and was broke more than it ran.
