Bucket Seats
Muggs45, I have noticed that almost any bucket seat that was originally in a small pickup (and you like the look and feel of) will fit in the relatively small space afforded by Ford cabs of your vintage. That said, I installed leather buckets from a 1990 Dodge Avenger in my '40. I retained the original seat box. I installed a split 10 gage cover on the box that hinges at the rear. I then mounted the seats by making the correct spacers in order to level them. The seats just miss the doors when closed and there is about 5 inches between them, which is handy for losing all sorts of stuff. The neat part is that when the seat backs are released and folded foreward, you can lift the seat bottom that is attached to the box cover and there is considerable storage under the seats. Just something that worked for me. Steve
