2002 EB Exp sun roof stuck in open position
Factory sun roof will not close: Opened the sun roof today, and it opened ok but will not close. It will go back around 1 inch then forward 1 inch. I removed the sun shade and as far as I can tell nothing in the way. Also if you push the close button it does not appear to be stuck (i.e. lights do not drop in intensity). Any one seen this before? If not it maybe time for Dallas Tops to look at it.

Oh yes (groan). If you take down the headliner (which is no small chore in itself) you'll find that it is cable driven where the cable has grooves that fit into a gear attached to a motor that drives it. Mine got replaced under warranty, but you may be able to get it back to an operational status.

Thanks for the info, I took it in any the head liner will need to be taken down, and it sounds like the drive is not working.
Sorry the name is Texas Auto Tops they are in Carrollton. To my understanding they install a lot of the sun roofs in the area.
