Top 'O The MOrning, Rex!

Although a few may disagree, if you have the factory DVD Entertainment Center, you are out of luck with the factory Sirius. Only way is to buy an aftermarket receiver that modulates to your radio. Some have said that the factory Sirius will work with the DVD system intact.............BUT, I haven't heard anyone say that THEY have one that works. Only that they have HEARD that you can do it.

If you don't have a DVD, then you're ready to go. Easy install.

Might have to disagree with you even though I haven't installed the kit yet, it specifically is designed to interface with the factory DVD, it has the cabling and MUX interface to do just that. I received the Visteon instructions specific to the Expedition that shows just that. There are 2 different kits for Expeditions, one with (PN # 4042821)and one without (PN# 4042812) factory RSE unit.

That's wonderful news! I hope that they have FINALLY made a harness that will retain the DVD player. Let us know if it works.

I've seen the kits on the web that will allow for Sirius with the rear DVD. I'm debating about doing this myself or just getting a portable radio so I can switch it between vehicles. Keep us informed on the kit and whether or not it works, ease of installation, etc.

Got the unit installed this morning, everything works!! It took about 2 hours total from start to driving out of the garage. VERY plug and play once everything is out in the open. Took us a little extra time to figure out the best place to put the MUX module (didn't take instructions advice), but our location makes it a little more neater and possibly more secure.
I'm happy
