Nice drive taken on Interstate yesterday

After working on my driver's door for the last three weeks, I installed it yesterday. It is my best paint work so far, happy to say. So off I went heading to the Interstate, just driving from destination A to B for no good reason. The truck sure does run good. Hard to believe everything works so well. The inside floorboard and firewall definitely need some insulation, because it can get toasty warm.
Finally was able to see the temperature needle get to 180 while driving. At 65 mph and above it sits right there (outside temp 95). Anything between 20 and 60 mph temp was 155-160, with fan off. My 4 row 46 radiator is just too big. Perhaps when the hood is installed (next year?) it will blanket in some heat worth another 10 degrees.
While I was cruising the tailgate auction ended on the mid 50 unit. My maximum bid didnt cut it. Oh well. I can always put that off for another year too.
Have to go now and clean up the 46 yblock for a picnic today. Happy and safe 4th to everyone.

progress is progress. And if you spent too much on that tailgate you'd probly be kickin' yourself for that. Good to hear you took her out.
