when I bought if about 2 months ago, I noticed after a storm that it was leaking water from the handle, the one that is next to the dashboard, I inspected the winshield and found a little hole where the windshield weatherstrips meet. so I bought sillicon and fixed it, BUT 2 days ago rained like hell here in Austin, and my father found another leak, this one is on the ceiling, right above the the ligh on the second row of seats :S I was inspecting in the top of the truck to see if there was something wrong but everything looks perfect :S I took the light assembly off and I can see a seam from where the water may be leaking but I dont know where is the water coming from :S
is it coming from the moonroof? but how come the DVD system is safe and dry?
Any suggestions??
The only suggestion I have is to pull everything apart and spray water on that sucker with a hose. If you have everything out of the way you should be able to see the location of the leak. I just did the same thing on my 02 Super Duty yesterday. We had a big storm in Houston and I found my carpet wet on the passenger side rocker panel. It was wet from the front to the back (crew cab). I took everything apart and traced out the wet spots. Finally found it after I tore the front passenger compartment apart. Ended up being the windshield along the top pinch weld was leaking. Fixed it with some silicone and she's good to go.
Check the roof rack towards the rear of the truck. Supposedly the mounting screw to the top will leak. Take it apart, silicone the hole and screw and remount it all.
I would get a leak only when i went through a automatic carwash climbed up on top and had bullet hole in roof. bullet was still lodged in just pulled it out and silconed it sure that aint the problem with you but just had to throw that out there.
If so there is a drain hose that runs down the A piller..It's one of two things, either something has clogged up the drain hose and you need to blow it out or the drain hose is pinched. Pull the trim around the sunroof off (on the side that is leaking), remove the handle and trim on the A pillar and pull the headliner. You will see the drain hose and it's usually pinched between the roof and the wires for the mirror. All you have to do is undo the hose, re run it underneath the wires and plug the hose back in. Sometimes you need to replace the hose with a harder one because the old ones been pinched for so long that it won't take it's proper shape again. With it being pinched it won't drain water and so you have a bunch of water rolling around above you. I just went through this...and I live in Washington (state) where it rains all the time...so I fixed it.

Hope this helps
Listen to him.. I had the same problem. Drivers side...right? Ford screwed up on the drain line. Mine was pinched over the cable that goes to the overhead console. There are 4 drains.. One on each corner of the moonroof housing. I mainly notced the problem when the truck was parked on a hill with the nose down. Hope you get it fixxed.
