There isn't an upper shock mount. The arm, sometimes called a dog bone, connects between the arm on the Houdaille shock and the shock/rubber bumper bracket on the axle. Those parts are 42-47 specific. You can use the passenger style tube shock bracket to add tube shocks to these trucks. That's what I have on my trucks...big improvment over the Houdaille shocks.

That's why I asked what parts he needed, I thought the shock bolted directly to the frame on mine. I thought I had forgotten something.
The original shock just bolts right to the 2 holes in the frame. There were many aftermarket adaptor for putting tube style shocks on, most probably used the original mounting holes.
