Chugs and Sputters when turned off...
Hi all,
My 86 F150 i6 Does not turn off cleanly.. It chugs and Sputters like its trying to keep going, I will go on for a handful of seconds...
The other thing is this is not a daily occurrence... Just more than occassionally..
Any Ideas.. I realy need some help as I have limited knowledge of working on cars and trucks

Add Distrib Retarded to much & the symptom you described is called "Dieseling".
To continue running after the ignition has been turned off, as when an open throttle supplies fuel to an engine that is still sufficiently hot to ignite it.
