I have heard that they are now makeing a Stainless King Pin for these 53-56 F-100s. Has anyone had any expierence, or know of anyone who has tried these out, and where they can be bought?
I have also heard thar they improve the steering, as they are supposed to have roller bearings, with them. There is claim that they are supposed to give you the next best thing to power steering.
I currently have 235-70-R-15 inch tires on my truck, it steers not to bad going down the road, but not worth a damm trying to get into a confined area.
If anyone has heard of these please post, thanks in advance.
I just went to that site as you listed above, and they sell them for 42-52. They don't make mention of 53, on up.
Are they by chance the same pin as the 52?
I guess I had better ask them just to make sure for sure. Thanks for the reply, much appreciated.
here is the problem i have with this:
king pins are a wear item if they dont wear on the pin they will wear somewhere else!
point #2 stainless is harder than regular steel

In reply to "Nixer on the wear factor", I agree with you on the hardness factor. On the other hand these Pins have needle bearings, instead of bushings, which would eliminate the wear factor.
The way I look at it is no friction no wear.
