Thumbs up 1957 Hydraulic Clutches

Hi I am currently restoring a 57 F250 to be a daily driver. I am questioning however if the old Hydraulic clutch system is reliable enough to keep or if it should be modified instead. I am a new member to this site. Any help I am thankful for.

My 1957's hydrallic clutch worked really good, although i may have to be going with a mechanical clutch set up with my M5OD transmision/73 MerCruiser 302 swap in for the old worn out y-block and T-98 Borg Warner. If ya need any parts, or pictures, pm me. I'm sure that there are a few other guys on here that know more about it then me.

I have been using my hydraulic clutch for years and years day after day. It's relible.

their reliable if you start off with a good one, I rebuilt mine in 1975 when I built the truck, but like any hydrulic part, they wear out and start to leak, did it again in 2001...and they are as easy as doing a wheel cylinder or master cylinder, and only a few $$$$
