What have you Line-X'd ?

I don't know if "Line-X'd" is actually a verb, HA HA HA.

Besides spraying bedliner material on your bed, what else have you sprayed and how did it hold up?

I have a friend who is getting ready to buy a truck almost identical to mine (except his is a crew cab) right down to the accessories (quit biting my style bro). He is saying he wants to spray his cutom ranchhand bullbar, headache rack, n-fab style nerfbars with steps, toolbox, and maybe his rocker panels. It's not gonna be cheap either. I told him he could buy a Warn 9.5ti Portable Winch like I am for the same cost as spraying all that stuff.

I told him that is what you do when they look old, not when they are brand new. I MIGHT spray the outside of my toolbox if it is not diamond tread, but that is another post.

What do you guys think, what have you sprayed, how did it work out?

A lot of folks spray the floor boards on the older trucks (48-60) as a sound deadener.

I have it sprayed on the back side of my tool boxes, and small tool boxes in my bed (see my gallery). It really wears well. This is the third truck that I have had this done to.

I have it sprayed inside the wheel wells of the bed & the underside of the cab as well. (outside the frame to just below the doors) Cuts the noise in the cab down some & provides some stone chip/dent resistance. Did this on my 00 and it's still holding up real well.

I have it on a small toolbox behind my wheel well and a job box. My dad had it on an aluminum trailer. It had an extuded floor that was sharp and left grooves in the tractor tires, (restored for show) it was also slick when wet. We etched it w/ the sandblaster before getting it sprayed and it held up great. The guy in Indy that does it, has a box made of styrofoam an inch thick that he sprayed. He stands on it to spray inside the beds of tall trucks. I can't believe it is that strong, he just pushed some nails in it to hold until he sprayed it, there is no frame. He has done bushhog mowers, entire jeeps, an 8N tractor, and snowplows (smooth, the texture is added by 'overspraying') He also does the frames for a co that builds ride-on fertilizer spreaders.
My favorite thing he did for me is my Maglight. I am going to have the bumpers on my new King Quad done next time I go to Indy. Can you tell I love the stuff?

The bed of the truck and also my Transfer Flow 46 gal. fuel tank. Just a little added protection against rocks and road debris with it mounted under the truck.

Thumbs up Line-X

I've done all of that and then some, well not exactly, you see, I sell Line-X at my shop and I have done every thing that you can imagine! I'm sure this stuff works otherwise I would not offer a 5 year warranty on all of the stuff. You don't have to wait untill the truck is old, you can do it to a new truck and will look good and reduce noise!

Our plow trucks get the bed, tailgate (both sides), rear bumper, wheel wells AND the entire underside of the truck. Since most of the trucks salt, and it really eats away at everything on the truck!! We just dumped a 95' F-250 with just 24.5k original miles on it!!!! It's no longer road worthy! 25,000 of the hardest miles you can put on a truck!!

I have had a number of vehicles with spray-on liners. Rhino is far superior to anything out there. (IMHO)
It also helps that our local rep does a fantastic job.
But in reference to your question, I have seen people spray the lower section of trucks, pretty much where the two-tone paint would start.

Ive seen some guys spray the bottom of there doors along with a strip on the outside of the fenders to keep rocks from hitting and chipping the paint. It looks great but you might aswell leave your wallet with the guy thats spraying. I dont know why but it costs alot to have "all" that area preped for spray.
