Will 40 Std Pass Car Grill work with 40pkup?
I'm in need of a grill for my 40/41 1/2 ton pickup....rodding it, so originality is not an issue. I've heard that a 39 deluxe or 40 std. car grill will bolt right in and match up to the fenders and hood...
Anyone know whether this is true? If so, I can get a new steelie from Speedway for $280...

I'm unsure Mitch, you could try looking through the Vendor Catalouges and see if they both show the same part numbers.
I have seen reproduction 40/41 PU grilles though, but don't recall the price.

You have it right in your original post. The '40 standard is the correct one for the '40 and '41 pickup. The '39 will fit only if it is a deluxe. The '39 standard is a completely different shape as is the '40 deluxe. Just been there. Steve
