I just bought a 87 mustang 5.0 HO speed-density efi that I want to swap into an early Bronco. Just a couple of questions before I do the tear down.
1) What is the compression ratio on these engines?
2) What is the cc size of the combustion chamber on the heads? Sorry I don't have any casting numbers.
3) Is this a roller cam block?
Basically I want to build it for decent torgue because my 74 302 has got really poor compression. Thanks to any response.
You will be very happy with the swap. I did an 87 HO from an LSC. It replaced a stock '75 smog monster. Big difference. Stock for the '87 was
225 hp
roller cam
forged pistons.
I don't have the compression ratio or CC's handy.
