'77 F-150 Super Cab ~351 Windsor

Hey all,
I have a '77 2wd F150 Super Cab and need the stock timing specs. The truck is all original (2 barrel carb freshly rebuild) and was rebuilt recently. I don't think it is properly timed, running very rich at idle rough running up through mid but seems to even out at hiway speed. Any suggestions?

TIA

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 14-Jan-02 AT 03:36 PM (EST)]I DON'T have a listing for a 77 351 Windsor.
only the
351M in 1977:
All the books re the 351W are refering to an engine decal
for tune-up info.
The best I can do for you without the decal is :

The 77 351M w/ Automatic >*8BTC @650Rpm

The 74 351Windsor:
Automatic > 6*BTC @550Rpm

Thanx for the advise, atleast it gives me a place to start. My friend has a 351w in his boat, his timing spec is 6 deg before TDC, so I will try beteen 6 and 10 to see what give the best performance.

Thanx....
