My '06 doesnt have a single problem.
I'd think you'd be fine getting an '06 they seem to be running very good. Like Shamrock said they are oretty quick too.
Do you think they have the bugs worked out of these yet? Are they going to last 250,000 miles like my 94 7.3?
Going to be buying this month.

MC1, I wish I could tell you that my '06 is without problems.. I have taken my F250 CC in for an oil leak, they replaced the rear main seal. Also, I got exhaust fumes in the cab. They added exhaust manifold gaskets, as Ford does not install gaskets at the factory.
For now everything seems to be OK.. I'll post later if any additional problems or the same pop up.
Good luck. Overall, you are not going to get a better truck.
About 20,000 miles on 2005 F-350 sc dually, towed 11,000 lb trailer 6000 miles in 10 days. Air temps. ran from 65 to 105 deg. Truck plows NE roads in winter, had trans recall done. No mods no problems.
yes, i believe ford has gotten the bugs out of the 2006 models. we have a 2004 powerstoke, and it is a lemon. two replacement engines, an intercooler, a transmission, a turbo on the third engine, new pinion seal, hot side boost tube and coupler, and some other things that take 2-3 days to a week to complete.
we still have faith in the 6.0's, and we are taking delivery on a 2006 F-250 SC SB with 6.0, for me as a work truck, on monday if it doesnt snow.
