Distinguishing 360 and 390 crankshafts

There is some truth to the rumor you can tell the crank from the end (a 390 has a square notch in the rear crank flange as opposed to the 360 with a half moon), but it's best to do two things... If you can see the stamped number on the first counterbalance, a 360 will be 2T or 2TA (coves all 68-76 applications). The second test is checking the stroke, the 360 is 3.50" and the 390 is 3.79".
