is my truck a 64 or a 65?

sorry for the noob question. i have an f-100, the title says it's a 64 but several people have told me that it looks like a 65. (these were old guys that know what they are talking about, so i tend to believe them over the title).

VIN is F10CR542554

any help is appreciated. thanks,

Alan

But it looks like a 61, or a 62, but then maybe a 63, could be a 65 or perhaps a 66..... Very subtle differences in the grill , suspension and interior will tell who has the real eye for them.

Your vin sequence of 542554 falls in the series built May 1964 of 538000-548999.

Welcome aboard! --Mike

Mike, I might disagree about subtle changes between the 61-64 and the 64-65. I believe there is a huge difference begining in 65. The engine lines were swapped, as well as mounting positions, the front axle/suspention is very different, cab floors, hardly anything swaps between the two series beyond hood, doors and glass. IMHO

Agreed John, I was just pointing out to a new participant that "...several people have told me that it looks like a 65" will happen, but a true "slickster" such as a person of your caliber will be dead on.
