5.0 in a ranger
Anyone have any tips or websites regarding putting a 99 mountainier 302 in a 97 ranger? I just got this drivetrain and the only site i found that could help me with the swap deals with pre-93 rangers.

well i think summit makes engin mounts for the swap that saves alot of time. but i have heard of mustang 5.o used mostly. some things you have to worry about is clearence, so this is a good time to move your battery to your bed. You will also need a set of shorty headers and they make a costom oil pan just for this swap from jegs i think. Also its never a bad ideal to beef up you shocks and frame to suport the power. And don't forget that you will need to run your own costom exhaust that might invole you geting a fule cell depending how you run it. Good luck i know it sounds scary but when you think about it you would probly do all this stuff anyways if it just droped in! have fun
