The mystery coal mining truck, sitting in a field.
Hey guys, at my neighbors there's an old beat up coal mining truck sitting around. We can't find anything on it that says what it is.
There's only a few distinctive things I can find about it.
It's in the 30's, it's got a real short front window (like a chopped car), no post. The windshield wiper comes down from the top of the cab (above the windshield). Inside there are a couple rounded gauges about 4" each, and a three spoke steering wheel with a round horn botton still in tact, nothing to say what it is.
The grille shape reminds me of a '37 Ford.
Other than that, I'm clueless and we're just curious. Anyone got any ideas?
haha, yeah I'll have to try and round some up. But then it won't be a mystery name-that-truck game cause someone will know what it is. Wait, that's what we're trying to figure out.
tjc, well it's a dump truck with a huge rear end with very big wheels! 5 lug, but HUGE bolt pattern and rim size. The front leafs are kinda small but the back end is stacked. Inside the cab has the controls for the dump bed sticking through the floor. The dump bed itself is steel frame with wooden sides, real neat.
