Adding another tank...what do I need?

With the price of diesel now and all this biodiesel stuff I figure it's going to be worth my time to brew my own. I think adding a huge tank in the bed would be nice too so I could make large amounts at once. With a large tank, I would also be able to make long trips on my own fuel. I'm going to add a semi-truck tank in the bed and I wanted to know what all I needed to make this conversion. I want to make this conversion pretty simple and similar to the factory two tank setup if possible. Any ideas/suggestions/comments would be appreciated.

Here you go......: http://www.northerntool.com/ . Type in "combo tank" in the search box on the left of the page.

Thanks, I'm actually trying to put together a system to save $$ but that site does give me some good ideas. So if I'm understanding it right..I only need to use one fuel pump and I just need to get a fuel tank switch?

I like that idea of using a semi-tractor tank in the back, that would look pretty cool strapped in the front of the box near the cab. That should be narrow enough to allow stacks up either side, depending on the tank you put in. Cool idea!

Yep, thats all you need. Just a valve to switch between the two lines. There are some things to look for in the valve. It should have connections for both the fuel line and the return line on each tank. Otherwise your stuck with a return line from the engine, with nowhere to put it. The valve I used was a Pollak 42-300P. I got it on Ebay. That's where to look first. To see an example......or even go for it......check out item #7997124820.
