Have cut my driving, and lowered my top speed on the freeway to 60. Sadly, I get my worst mileage in town and can't do much to improve the mileage - so, I try to drive less.
My wife and I have started riding to work together 3 or 4 days a week. A little bit of trouble to make it work out but it's nice to have the company on the ride. I work construction so we have to take the truck with the tools on it.

6 months ago i got a new job... dailly miles driven went from over 100 to less than 10... it was costing me $120 a week in fuel then... i'm not sure what that would cost me with these fuel prices... i'm damn glad i did that now..! also... i don't make any trips anywhere that i don't have to... and the wife and i didn't go on more than 2 or 3 camping trips... usually we are out with the 5ver at least 8 or 10 times a summer...
eliminating trips -- such as getting just milk, using 10% biodiesel , so am saving 10% dino fuel. Keeping speed down. Stayed below 60 (bugged wife) and got 20 MPG
i have one other suggestion... don't fill up your tank unless you HAVE to... why...? part of the reason the prices keep going up, especially regular gas, is because people want to get a lower price and they think we might run out... so it creates a "panic"... that drives up the price... i am only putting in $50 or so in my truck... i don't have to have a full tank and i get a little better mpg if i'm not carrying all that fuel around..
hey Kwik, the acetone did make a difference? i thought the general concensus was that it didn't make a worthwhile difference.
On my wife's and my commuter cars the difference is tangable at the throttle. The odometer broke on my car so I can't get a reliable reading from it. Wife's car I never checked it before. The thing that I notice is how much more responsive the engine is to throttle setting. At partial throttle it just pulls harder than before. So I don't have to use as much throttle to accellorate and/or maintain speed. It's very easy to tell when it's time to add some more. I let two tankfuls go through without adding any and the last one it was starting to feel sluggish again. The next fillup I added my 5oz for the 20 gallon tank, filled it up, drove off. By the time I got home (5 miles) it was back.
Truck I can say has gained close to 1mpg overall. I still get crappy mileage at around 13.5, but I never could break 13 before. I am going on a 3000 mile vacation in two weeks and plan on keeping records to report. I averaged 9mpg pulling the trailer last time, no acetone, and using lot's of diesel clean.
Also the truck engine idles a lot quieter with the acetone.
Dad's Subaru went measurable from 27 to 31mpg.
I don't know how competitive its going to get for waste oil but I will have any choice but to brew Bio with my lifted OffRoad CC w/315's. The 315's were practically bald and I just replaced them free on the 50K warranty w/procomp. I can now feel them grip the road and I lost mileage there. I've done all I can do learning from you all but its not a vehicle built for fuel economy. When I bought the truck and fifth wheel diesel cost $1.29. The only reason I haven't yet is I have a rather rambuctious 2yr-old running the property here and I worry about chemical (caustic) storage. We did a month and a half 7000 mile trip to Alberta and back at an average $2.40-$2.50 and my fuel bill was absolutely enormous. That trip will not reoccur any time soon. The 6637 mod did seem to help along w/acetone and Stage 2 on the Hypertech. Have a nice trip Kwik! And thanks to all for a very nice forum.
Nice Jake, Nice. but ya know the faster you get there, the lest time your engine runs, so maybe if ya go faster you will save fuel.
O.K. seriously now, see vehicle #2. drive it everywhere.
its now down to I have to drive like 3K miles @ current fuel prices to get a free set of stage one injectors. I have driven 2K already, free stage ones, here I come.
