I remember reading "Methuselah's Children", at least back then. I am sure I had read "Time enough for Love" in the early 70s.
Reading Science Fiction has always been a interest of mine. Ever since I was first introduced to it through watching "Forbidden Planet" when it first came out on the big screen as a little girl.
Always been an avid reader.

The first book I read was sci-fi. My mother tricked me into reading "Flight to the Misty Planet" by M.E. Patchett by reading the first chapter then not having "time" to read me the rest while I was in kindergarten. I still have that book.

I have a very large sci-fi collection with an almost complete collection of Heinlein as well as almost a complete collection of Lois L'Amour. Dennis saw a small portion of my collection which covers a wall 10' x 4' packed solid. I have twice as many books in boxes and another large quantity in other bookshelves around the house. -I like books.

Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
All you need is a quiet spot, a comfortable place....or not. You can create it by just openning the pages and your mind expands.

I have always enjoyed the way RAH wrote in the first hand - as if he had actually BEEN there.
In checking out hints for new writers in order to get published one thing repeated was that you should not research what you write - WRITE ABOUT WHAT YOU KNOW!
It is far more credible seeming....
Heinlein must not have been from here.... J/K

My wife reads constantly even more than I do. I kind of got out of the habit when my eyesight went south and it started to be a pain to read. I spend so much time reading tech materials and on the computer I don't get much time to read for pleasure anymore. The tech journals pile up in my office all the time also. I am lucky if I get to read 1 out of 10 sometimes. There are many things I still need to read before I get to reading for pleasure.
"The hammer floated just out of reach. It was in orbit, the same as I was.
Christo! There was no place to push from, and the suit jet pack was running low.
A single rivet, and the join would be done....
'Flying in orbit' was the way we thought of working around the United Planets station out in the lower geostationary point. We circled faster than the farther orbits, and were considered by some to be the "Hotrods" of orbit. The physics were no different though. I wished I had an electric magnet to grab the estupid thing, but I was just a lowly contractor and operating on a budget. Expensive stuff was going to have to wait at least a check or two....
Particularly if it had copper windings - which mass a lot for the lift from ground to geo orbit.
(Numerous cursings)!!!
It used to have a lanyard on it, but only "Preemies" tied their tools to themselves....
For pride's sake, I was in orbit without a hammer!
Jeez - oh - Pete!!!
I prayed the shift manager wasn't looking...
Carefully, I 'BARKED' the aft pressure release, and drifted closer.
(Something NOT by the book)
When I got locked back in, I found that the entire station knew I had 'farted' my way back to my tool kit...
Jesus Cristo!!!"
Hope you liked the flight of fancy you inspired!!!!
